A longer guided practice for settling more fully into awareness and learning to stay present with what arises.
This fifteen-minute meditation gives you more space to experience the natural movement of attention without rushing the practice.
You’ll be guided to settle into the body, bring awareness to the breath, notice thoughts and sensations as they arise, and return when attention wanders.
As the sitting continues, you may notice restlessness, impatience, calm, distraction, ease, or resistance.
The practice is not to manufacture a particular state.
It is to become more familiar with meeting your experience as it is, while strengthening your ability to return to awareness again and again.
You can use this meditation as a regular daily practice when you want more space than a short sitting provides, or as a bridge into longer periods of meditation.
This meditation is included in my Free 10-Day Beginner Mindfulness Meditation Course, where the practices gradually develop over ten lessons.
