Conscious Leadership Begins Within

Mindfulness, Hypnotherapy, and Transformational Spiritual Guidance for Leaders, Founders, and High-Performing Professionals

Leadership asks much of a person.

Not only skill.

Not only intelligence.

Not only discipline, vision, and the ability to make difficult decisions.

Leadership asks you to remain present while carrying pressure.

To stay clear when others are uncertain.

To make decisions that affect real people.

To hold responsibility without losing yourself inside it.

And over time, even capable, successful, deeply committed leaders can begin to feel the cost of carrying so much without truly stopping.

The mind keeps moving. The body remains tense. The nervous system never quite returns to rest.

Purpose becomes difficult to feel, even when the work still matters.

This is where my work begins.

I help leaders, founders, executives, and high-performing professionals reconnect with the deeper clarity beneath the pressure — so they can lead, work, and live from a more grounded, present, and integrated place.

Not by becoming someone else.

By remembering what is already true beneath the noise.

The Leader Is Also a Human Being

Many professionals are trained to perform.

To solve. To respond quickly. To remain composed. To carry complexity.

These capacities can be useful. Necessary, even.

But when performance becomes the only mode of being, something essential begins to disappear.

The body may continue working. The mind may continue producing. The calendar may continue filling.

But the person inside the role can become increasingly distant from their own inner life.

This distance has consequences.

It can show up as burnout, irritability, emotional exhaustion, decision fatigue, difficulty resting, loss of meaning, disconnection from the body, strained relationships, or the quiet sense that success has come at too high a cost.

Often, the solution is not more productivity. It is not another optimization strategy. It is not forcing the mind to be more disciplined.

Often, what is needed is a deeper return:

To presence.

To the body.

To breath.

To honest inner listening.

To the part of you that existed before the role, the pressure, the title, and the expectations.

This is not separate from leadership.

It is the foundation of excellent leadership.

My Approach

My work integrates mindfulness training, hypnotherapy, spiritual guidance, and deep transformational healing.

Depending on your needs, our work together may focus on:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Burnout recovery and prevention

  • Emotional clarity

  • Subconscious patterns and self-limiting beliefs

  • Stress, anxiety, and internal pressure

  • Restoring purpose and direction

  • Developing presence under pressure

  • Integrating major life or career transitions

  • Reconnecting with joy, intuition, and inner steadiness

  • Bringing your outer work into greater alignment with your deeper self

This is not conventional executive coaching.

And it is not abstract spirituality disconnected from practical life.

It is a grounded, intentional, deeply human process of becoming more whole — so that the way you lead is no longer separate from the way you live.

Some clients come because they are burned out.

Some come because they are successful, but no longer feel fully alive.

Some come because they are navigating transition.

Some come because they sense that the next stage of their leadership requires more than strategy.

It requires inner transformation.

Why Inner Work Matters for Leaders

A leader’s inner state is never private in the way we imagine.

It enters the room before the first word is spoken.

It shapes the quality of attention.

It affects listening.

It changes how decisions are made.

It influences how conflict is held.

It teaches others, often unconsciously, what is safe to feel, say, question, and become.

When a leader is chronically tense, the environment often tightens around them.

When a leader is disconnected from themselves, their work may become reactive, mechanical, or overly controlled.

When a leader learns to become present, regulated, and clear within themselves, something begins to change in the field around them.

This is not performance improvement in the shallow sense.

It is a return to the deeper source from which wise action becomes possible.

Ways to Work Together

Private Transformational Work

For founders, executives, entrepreneurs, and high-performing professionals seeking personal support, I offer private one-on-one sessions.

This work may draw from hypnotherapy, mindfulness, spiritual guidance, and shamanic healing, depending on what is most appropriate for you.

Private work is especially useful if you are navigating:

  • Burnout or chronic stress

  • Major personal or professional transition

  • Difficulty resting or slowing down

  • Anxiety, fear, or inner pressure

  • Loss of purpose or meaning

  • Recurring patterns that insight alone has not resolved

  • The desire to lead and live from greater authenticity

My hypnotherapy approach is conversational, personalized, and fully conscious. You remain aware and in control throughout the session. Rather than using generic scripts, I work with what is alive in the moment, helping you identify and transform the deeper patterns beneath the surface.

For many people, meaningful change requires more than one session. A short series of sessions allows the work to deepen, integrate, and become embodied in daily life.

Mindfulness Training for Leaders

Mindfulness is often presented in professional spaces as a tool for focus, stress reduction, and productivity.

It can certainly help with those things, but mindfulness is much more than a workplace technique. At its depth, mindfulness is the practice of seeing clearly.

Mindfulness teaches you to observe thoughts without becoming trapped inside them.

To feel emotions fully without being ruled by them.

To pause before reacting.

To notice what is happening in the body before the body has to shout.

For leaders, this capacity is invaluable.

A mindful leader is not passive.

A mindful leader is awake.

More able to listen. More able to respond instead of react. More able to recognize when fear, urgency, ego, or old conditioning is driving the room.

I have practiced mindfulness daily since 2012 and received the teaching of Vipassana through ten days of silent meditation in 2014. Mindfulness has been the foundation of my own healing, spiritual practice, and professional work for more than a decade.

I offer mindfulness training for individuals, leadership teams, and organizations seeking a deeper, more embodied approach to presence and self-awareness.

Corporate and Organizational Sessions

I am available for workshops, trainings, and facilitated sessions for organizations seeking a more grounded approach to wellbeing, leadership, and human development.

Possible themes include:

  • Mindfulness for leaders

  • Nervous system regulation and burnout prevention

  • Conscious leadership and emotional presence

  • Stress, rest, and the capacity to truly stop

  • Self-awareness as a leadership practice

  • Purpose, meaning, and sustainable performance

  • Creating a more humane inner culture of work

These sessions are not designed to add more information to already overloaded minds.

They are designed to help people return to themselves.

A well-facilitated space can give professionals permission to pause, reflect, breathe, feel, and remember that they are human beings before they are roles inside an organization.

This remembrance can change how people work together.

Retreats, Offsites, and Wellness Centers

I am also available for retreats, leadership offsites, wellness centers, and transformational programs.

Retreat environments allow deeper work to unfold because people are removed from the ordinary pace and pressure of daily life.

In these settings, I can offer mindfulness training, guided meditation, spiritual teaching, group facilitation, hypnotherapy-informed inner work, and healing-centered experiences designed around the needs of the group.

This work is especially well suited for:

  • Leadership retreats

  • Founder retreats

  • Conscious business gatherings

  • Wellness and healing centers

  • Spiritual retreat programs

  • Small groups seeking meaningful inner transformation

The aim is not to provide a temporary escape from life. Rather, to help participants return to life more present, clear, open, and connected.

About Devin Ryback

I am a spiritual teacher, healer, and certified clinical hypnotherapist based in Ithaca, New York. I work with clients in person and virtually.

I earned my B.A. in Integrative Psychology in 2015 through my studies at SUNY Binghamton University and SUNY Empire State University. Since then, I have delivered more than 10,000 hours of spiritual coaching to individuals and groups.

I earned certificates in hypnotherapy and clinical hypnotherapy; accelerated healing and pain management; and natal, interlife, and past life regression therapy through an intensive 500-hour training program at the Hypnotherapy Academy of America.

My spiritual study and practice began in earnest in 2012. Since then, I have studied and practiced mindfulness, vipassana, kundalini yoga, hermetic philosophy, sound healing, shamanism, and psychedelic / plant medicine. I maintain a daily spiritual practice and continue to study with teachers wiser and more skilled than myself.

The language on this page is intentionally grounded for leaders and professionals.

The depth of my work is spiritual.

I believe — and more than believe, I know through direct experience — that healing is not merely mental. It is not merely behavioral. It is not merely physical.

Human beings are whole beings.

Body, mind, spirit, energy, soul, relationship, work, purpose, and life are not separate.

When we work deeply with one part of the human system, the whole system begins to change.

Who This Work Is For

This work may be for you if:

You are successful, but tired in a way rest has not fully repaired.

You carry significant responsibility and want to lead without abandoning yourself.

You are navigating a transition that asks for more than strategic thinking.

You sense that your work needs to become more aligned with your deeper values.

You want to develop greater emotional steadiness, presence, and clarity.

You are curious about spirituality, but need an approach that is grounded, mature, and practical.

You are ready to look honestly at the patterns beneath your stress, striving, fear, or disconnection.

You do not need to identify as “spiritual” to begin.

You only need sincerity, openness, and willingness to see yourself clearly.

A Note on Spirituality and Professional Life

For many people, spirituality and work have been kept in separate rooms.

One is private. The other is professional.

One is tender. The other is strategic.

But this separation is often part of the suffering.

You do not stop being a whole person when you enter a meeting.

You do not stop having a body when you make decisions.

You do not stop having a spirit because your calendar is full.

The deeper work is not to abandon the world.

It is to bring more of your true self into how you live and lead within it.

This is the bridge I help people cross.

Ways to Begin

Begin with a Conversation

The best first step is a free consultation.

This gives us time to discuss what you are experiencing, what you are seeking, and whether my work is the right fit for you.

If we are a good match, we can decide together whether private sessions, mindfulness training, organizational work, or a retreat / workshop format would best serve your needs.

Leadership does not have to cost you your inner life.

You can become more present.

You can become more clear.

You can remember what matters.

And from that place, you can lead consciously.
