Breaking a neutral pattern, part 3...
In the previous email, you learned how to apply active imagination to the work of breaking a neutral pattern. If you completed your next step, you have practiced this technique once or more times per day and reflected on your progress in your journal.
In this email, we will review the key concepts you have learned so far, and conclude your lesson on breaking this neutral pattern.
Quick Knowledge Review
If you have been completing your next steps with each email, then you are already a Pattern Breaker! The work of breaking patterns is simple and rewarding. As I have said, your daily journaling practice is enough to make big positive changes in yourself and your life.
Here is a review of the key knowledge we have learned so far:
Everything is Pattern: Reality as we know it is a series of interconnected energy expressing as patterns. You, your life, and all of Existence flow in the form of patterns.
Kinds of personal patterns: Examining the patterns in your life from a practical perspective reveals three main kinds of patterns:
Beneficial: These patterns benefit you and your life.
Harmful: These patterns harm you and your life.
Neutral: These patterns have neither a noticeable beneficial nor noticeable harmful effect.
Pieces of patterns: After identifying a pattern, we can expand it to identify other pieces of that pattern.
Main event: This is the primary experience or behavior which is the focus of the pattern work.
Linked events: These are other experiences or behaviors which happen before and after the main event. Working on linked events enhances the efficacy of your pattern work.
Comprehending the nature of Existence as a series of interconnected patterns places you in a position of great creative potential. With this knowledge, you truly can alter your reality.
Shifting Focus
Until now you have been working on establishing your knowledge of patterns, and applying that knowledge to break a neutral pattern in your life.
Your next lesson will be in applying this same knowledge to the work of creating a new beneficial pattern.
As you continue your work as a Pattern Breaker, continue working on your neutral pattern as well. As you become more skilled in this work, you will find it easier and easier to consciously, simultaneously, manage multiple patterns.
Your Next Step
Continue your daily end-of-day journaling practice.
Set a timer for 20 minutes.
Reflect on your pattern breaking progress.
Imagine which new beneficial pattern you would like to experience in your life.
Write about this in your journal.
In the next email, we will begin the work of installing a new beneficial pattern.
